Throughout the year, Wat Meangkolvorn hosts many events for the community, including traditional celebrations and opportunities for worship.

Annual Events

Khmer New Year (Choul Chnam Thmey). Our largest celebration of the year marks the end of the harvest season. Our community gets together to enjoy special dishes, performances, and prayer.

- 4PM Welcoming Buddhist Chanting
April 12th + April 13th
- 9AM Arrival and set up for lunch, offering for the Monks blessing
- 10AM Meal offering / Giving Alms to the Buddhist Monks. Monks give Precepts and Blessings
- 12PM Potluck feast and Cambodian Live Band
April 14th + April 15th
- 9AM - 12PM Morning chanting, Giving Alms to Buddhist Monks, Lunch
April 16th
- 9AM - 12PM Repeating morning ritual. Closing the Old New Year with disordination of the Sand Mounts, Water Blessing to the Buddhas, paying respect to the elders and release of all the old Karma
