Throughout the year, Wat Meangkolvorn hosts many events for the community, including traditional celebrations and opportunities for worship.

Recurring Events

April

Khmer New Year (Choul Chnam Thmey). Our largest celebration of the year marks the end of the harvest season. Our community gets together to enjoy special dishes, performances, and prayer.

June

Money Flower Ceremony (Bon Phaka Brak). It is a merit-making ceremony that raises funds for the temple and support the monk community.

Sept

Honoring Day for the Dead and Ancestors (Bon Kan Ben and Bon Pachum Ben). During this ceremony, the souls of ancestors are fed by the food of the living, releasing karma.
