CURRENT PROJECTS
Some of our recent improvements to the temple include fixing the roads and adding a fence. This makes the temple a more safe environment for our community members to visit and for our monks to live. We will be celebrating this completion in September. Currently, we are fundraising money to build a community prayer hall, in the hopes that this will be a place where everyone can gather for worship.
OUR MISSION
In April 2009, Wat Meangkolvorn was created in Santa Rosa, California as a Buddhist Cambodian temple. Santa Rosa is home to a vibrant Khmer population, many of whom have immigrated here from Cambodia. Wat Meangkolvorn's goal is to be a place of worship, celebration, and community. All are welcome in our community, regardless of background.
